WfH Device Properties

There are limited number of properties retrieved from a WfH device. If a WfH device is selected, some tabs in device properties will be hidden leaving only three active tabs with additional Work from Home tab. The image below shows the device properties of a WfH device.

For corporate devices, please change their state to “Accepted” so the device information will be reflected in Device Properties tabs. Device information retrieved from non-Ricoh devices may not be accurate.

Main Properties

The following properties are retrieved:

  • Manufacturer *

  • Model *

  • Serial Number *

  • Mac Address

  • Location

  • Comment *

  • Installed Memory *

Status Details

The following status are retrieved:

  • Printer Status

  • System Status *

  • Printer Status *

  • Toner/Ink

  • Toner Levels

Counters

The following counters are retrieved:

  • Total *

  • Printer Black *

  • Printer Color Full *

  • Fax Black

  • Fax Color

  • Copy Black

  • Copy Color Full

  • Fax Send, Duplex

  • A3/DLT

  • Total Color

  • Total Mono

  • Scanner Send Mono

  • Scanner Send Color

When the user is not a SLNX user and submits a print job to WfH device, the job will still be recorded and counted. However, when generating reports, the print job will display the user as “Unknown”.

Work from Home

The following WfH information is displayed:

  • * Computer Name: This is the fully qualified name of the machine where the WfH Client is installed and detects the device.

  • * User: The account name from the WfH Client machine. This field will be empty unless the user has submitted a print job from WfH Client machine to the printer.

  • * State: As described in Work from Home Client , you can change the device state to Accepted, Pending, or Ignored.

The following right -click options are available for WfH devices:

  • Add Devices – This feature is disable if you right-click a WfH device.
  • Delete Devices – A WfH device can be deleted from SLNX, but it will be added back after the WfH device polling, unless the printer is also removed from the PC where WfH Client is installed. Refer to Remove WfH Device for more steps.
  • Ignore Devices – Clicking Ignore will move the device to the Hidden Devices tab. This action does not change the device’s state to “Ignored”. To ignore the device, please refer to Change a Device’s WfH State.
  • User Counters – Displays the device’s user counters.
  • History – Displays empty because a WfH device Status Lifecycle is not calculated.
